This page contains both data sheets and data templates. Data sheets are used in the field and are entered directly into the SWAMP database by the field collection agency using the data entry forms. Data templates are filled out in the laboratory and loaded into the database, usually by the Data Management Team (DMT).

Station Reconnaissance Template (updated 07/22/05)
A two page Microsoft Excel file used for field reconnaissance of SWAMP stations. It can be completed in the office and/or field in hard copy, or in soft copy if a laptop is used. If a hard copy is produced, it is helpful to transfer that information to soft copy and then rename the file with the SWAMP station code. There is a description of some of the items at the bottom of the second page. If possible, please attach maps, pictures, and/or drawings that will help the field crew find the station.

Stations Template (updated 09/30/09) updated!
A Microsoft Excel file that contains specific information related to the station (e.g., StationCode, Waterbody, Hydrologic Subarea) which allows for stations to be categorized by geographic area. This provides continuity and consistency among tables within the database. It is critical that this form be completed prior to sampling and loaded into the database so that laboratory results are correctly loaded to the database. Field Collection and Results Template (updated 09/17/09) new!
A Microsoft Excel file that contains multiple worksheets with the appropriate fields required to load historic and current field and habitat data into the database.  While this template was developed for loading SWAMP Bioassessment data, if a user followed the SWAMP Wadeable Streams protocol, it can be used for all water quality and bioassessment sampling.  A data submission example is also available.  Documentation on how to fill out the template will be forthcoming.

Chemistry Data Template (updated 04/02/09)
A Microsoft Excel file that contains two worksheets including Results and LabBatch as well as a data submission example. Documentation on how to fill out the template is also available.

Toxicity Data Template (updated 04/02/09)
A Microsoft Excel file that contains three worksheets including Results, Summary, and ToxBatch as well as a data submission example. Documentation on how to fill out the template is also available.
